THS Volleyball
The Troy Lady Trojans have experienced a mix of wins and tough battles on the volleyball court, as they work through a challenging stretch of their season.
The Lady Trojans picked up an impressive 2-0 victory over McLouth, winning the sets 25-18 and 25-12. Troy controlled the second set and finished strong to secure the straight-set win. The victory continued a positive stretch for the Trojans, who had won three of their previous four matches, bringing their season record to 12-12.
Troy also faced a tough challenge against Pleasant Ridge. In a competitive three-set match, the Lady Trojans battled back to even the match after dropping the opening set 25-22. Troy claimed the second set 25-23, forcing a deciding third set. Pleasant Ridge pulled away in the final set, winning 25-15 and taking the match 2-1. Despite the loss, the Trojans demonstrated their ability to compete in close matches and push their opponents to the limit.
In another matchup, Troy took on Maur Hill-Mount Academy but came up short in a two-set contest. Maur Hill won 25-17 and 25-19. Although the Trojans were unable to secure a set victory, they continued to fight, scoring at least 17 points in both sets.
The recent games have tested the Lady Trojans as they work to build consistency and finish the season strong. With competitive performances against tough opponents and a solid victory over McLouth, Troy continues to look for opportunities to build momentum.
As the season progresses, the Lady Trojans will look to carry the lessons from each match onto the court, focusing on teamwork, determination, and making the adjustments needed to compete against every opponent.
