Homecoming Pep Rally - Friday, September 20th at 2:45 PM - Main Street

Homecoming Week Activities

Theme: There’s No Place Like Homecoming -Wizard of Oz

 

Spirit Week Dress Up Days:

  • Which Witch is which Monday (Dress as your a friend

  • Lions, Tigers, and Bears, oh my Tuesday (Dress as an animal)

  • There’s a Storm a brewin Wednesday (Dress as a storm chaser)

  • Twister Thursday (Dress wacky “like in a tornado”)

  • There’s no place like home Friday (School Colors)

 

Hallway Decorating:

  • Each class will be given an area to decorate. The hallways will be judged by student effort, creativity, and overall appeal/ appearance. 

    • Seniors: Gauntlet

    • Juniors: Main hallway

    • Sophomores: Top floor hallway

    • Freshmen: Bottom floor hallway

    • MS: Main hallway of their building

  • Everything should be securely attached and no glitter can be used. Also, no use of two sided tape on walls or floors  

 

Floats:

  • Each class will need a float for the parade. Posters and banners for the float will need to coordinate with the following themes:.

    • Candidate Float (last)

    • Seniors: Tornadoes Float

    • Juniors: We’re Not in Kansas Anymore Float

    • Sophomores: Yellow Brick Road Float

    • Freshmen: Emerald City Float

    • 8th Grade

    • 7th Grade 

    • 6th Grade

    • Marching Band (first)

  • Each class will be responsible for contacting an individual for use of a truck and trailer. No students will be allowed to drive or be in the trucks. All students will need to be on the float. 

  • Decorations will need to be securely attached to the trailer

  • Judging of the floats will be based on student effort, creativity, participation of class, connection with theme, and overall appeal.

 

Window Wash

  • This will be Sunday, September 15th at 6pm. Food will be served on Main Street.

  • Each class will be given a space of windows to decorate. Each window should coordinate with the overall theme of homecoming or class theme *See Floats above*

  • Judging will be based on creativity, spirit, and overall appeal/ appearance.

    • $200 will go to the class that wins (From the Booster Club)

    • $200 will be split between any student(s) that shows up Sunday, September 22nd to help clean up at 6pm. 

 

Schedule

  • Attend classes 1-5. 

  • Lunch

  • Boys Volleyball Tourney

  • Work on floats

 

Sign/ Banner Creation:

  • We will run the seminar schedule the week before Homecoming to allow time for the creation of signs and banners

    • Seniors will be in

    • Juniors will be in Mrs. Cluck’s room

    • Sophomores will be in will be in 

    • Freshmen will be in 

    • 6th-8th grade will be in the middle school commons area
