The TGS Student Council had a great turn out for the Pumpkin Decorating Contest! We had 19 pumpkins lining the front hall. Students could vote by dropping money into the jar of their favorite pumpkin. They earned around $340.00 for the Student Council fundraiser.
The winners were:
1st place -Brook Tharman with $77.11
2nd place – Brayden Holder with $51.68
3rd place – Beckett Redman with $44.97.
Thank you to everyone who participated and brought money to vote for their favorite pumpkin!

Kaden's Kloset Open Shopping Dates are posted on the attached flyer from 5-7 PM.
For the month of October, Mrs. Geiger kept things exciting with a couple of fun contests in the TGS library. We love seeing our students get involved and make the library a place full of learning and fun!
Congratulations to the winners of the Spooky Story Writing Contest: 1st Place-Charlie Petersen, 2nd Place-Brook Tharman, and 3rd Place-Ainsley Kostman.
The winner of the "Guess the Number of Spiders in the Jar" contest is Sydney Grable! (There were 337 spiders in the jar and Sydney guessed 340)

Ella Grable, Freshman at Troy High School, qualified for State Cross Country. Ella will run at approx. 11:45 AM on Sat., November 1st at Wamego Country Club. More information pertaining to State CC is posted below.
Celebration plans: Ella will walk through and greet the Elementary students as they wish her good luck on Thursday, Oct. 30th at 8 AM. The MS/HS will celebrate Ella's accomplishment on Wednesday, Oct. 29 at 3:15 PM in the C.W. Oliver Gymnasium. The public is invited to attend. Please join us and give Ella a good luck send off on Saturday, November 1st at 8 AM on Main Street!

Here are a few pieces of information:
Mrs. Prawl's 2nd Graders made diyas for Diwali. They learned about Diwali during our Knowledge unit on ancient India and China. Diwali began on Monday and ends on Friday.


The Troy Middle School Sixth Grade class visited Summit Truck Bodies on Wednesday, October 22. The students learned how math and science applies to the workforce. Thank you to Mrs. Veronica Masters for facilitating the event, and thank you to Summit Truck Bodies for hosting!

The Troy Kindergarten traveled to Gary's Farm Fest on Wednesday, October 22nd. They enjoyed a wagon ride, picking a pumpkin, playing in a huge corn pit, going down tube slides and much more. It was a beautiful fall day for some pumpkin patch fun!

Regional Cross Country Information. Regional Cross Country will be hosted at Richmond-Central Heights. Girls will run at 10 AM and boys at approx. 11:10 AM. Good luck Trojans!
