Community Service Day
Troy Grade School invited Troy High and Middle School to take part in their Community Service Day on Friday, May 2. Assignments for Troy High and Middle School included: cleaning the glass surfaces of the high school; assisting with maintenance of the city park; tidying the landscaping in front of the high school; visiting the Atchison Humane Society and the Doniphan County Pet Rescue; helping out at the Eastside Estates; deep cleaning the softball field and the football field bleacher area; weed eating; assisting the Doniphan County Education Cooperative, Kaden’s Kloset, the Doniphan County Courthouse, and the Doniphan County Extension Office with household items, and picking up trash around town. Students and staff worked hard to make our school and community better. Thank you to Mrs. Adrienne Geiger for inviting Troy High and Middle School into the event, Mrs. Allisha Engemann and Mr. Pat McKernan for their leadership, the contacts for job assignments, and the students and staff of Troy High and Middle School for making Community Service Day successful.
