TMS Boys Basketball Places 3rd Place at OTL BB Tourney
The Troy Trojans Middle School Boys basketball team traveled to Onaga on January 30 for the second round of the Oregon Trail League Tournament. The Trojans’ opponents were the number-one-seeded Centralia Panthers.
The Trojans lost 25-54. Colt Jensen led the way with nine points and five rebounds. Tucker Jarrett added four rebounds.
Due to their second round loss, Troy traveled back to Onaga on February 2 to face the number-three-seeded Saints Peter and Paul Trojans for third place in the league.
Down 15-18 at half, Troy fought back to win the game, and third place in the league, by the score of 36-28. Colt Jensen was clutch in his best game of the year, scoring eighteen points and tallying eight rebounds. Tucker Jarrett secured twelve rebounds.
After seeding number five in the tournament, taking home the bronze prize is a commendable accomplishment. The boys faced adversity and came out on the other side holding a medal and sporting a winning record. Thank you to parents, staff, and administration for the support.
