2022 Master Teacher - Mrs. Allisha Engemann

The USD 429 Master Teacher of the Year Selection Committee met on April 20, 2022, to select the Master Teacher for the 2021-2022 school year.  Two teachers were nominated for the honor.

 

Michael Adame- Mr. Adame has taught students at the Troy School District for 4 years. Since starting at Troy, Mr. Adame has really been involved in the Troy school system.  He teaches the agriculture classes which include Food Science, Agricultural Mechanics, Agricultural Welding, Horticulture, Plant and Soil Science, Animal Science, and Exploratory Ag.

 

Mr. Adame also contributes to the school in a variety of other sponsorships and roles.  He drives the school bus for one of the morning routes and drives for other school events and activity trips.  He sponsors the FFA program at the school and looks for opportunities to involve students in the community.

 

Mr. Adame has helped the FFA members host blood drives at the school twice a year, host the 4th of July tractor pull, leads the selling of the meat and fruit sales for FFA and works with the 4-H organization.  He is an assistant baseball coach and helps at the scorer’s table during football and basketball games. 

 

He is a teacher that fully understands what the basics of teaching are all about. He always goes above and beyond in sharing his knowledge of the subjects to his students and he tries to ensure the students have a positive learning experience.

 

Allisha Engemann – Mrs. Allisha Engemann was chosen as the 2021-2022 USD 429 Master Teacher of the Year!

 

Allisha is a past nominee.  She has taught in the Troy district for ten years, nine of those at the Troy Grade School and this year at the Troy Middle School.

 

Mrs. Engemann creates a warm, encouraging, and fun learning environment for her students and is brave enough to use flexible seating in her classroom!  She establishes good communication and rapport with students and parents and does a great job at keeping parents informed.  Allisha was very helpful in the transitional move of the 6th grade students to the annex this past school year.

 

Mrs. Engemann has also been involved in the school district in a variety of areas and support roles.  She has served as a middle school volleyball coach and middle school track coach.  She helped implement the tradition of Pi Day at the elementary school with the 6th graders. 

 

Allisha will be transitioning into the role of the elementary principal for Troy Grade School students, staff, and parents for the 2022-20223 school year.  We appreciate her continued support and service to the students and parents of the district.
