COVID Update

Covid Update

Dear USD Parents, Guardians, and Patrons:

I wanted give you a brief update on our current Covid numbers, as not everything that gets relayed to the community and news stations is reported back accurately. We have had a run of bad luck with this virus this past month. We are hoping we are on the tail end of it. We have had a TOTAL of 40 positive cases since the beginning of the school year. We currently have eleven students out with positive Covid results. We expect many of those back after the Thanksgiving Break. We will again, deep clean the buildings over the Thanksgiving Day Break, and continue to do that through the flu season as well. I would continue to ask you to monitor your own children’s health and if they have been around known positive cases, do not send them to school. If they have covid like symptoms, especially a fever, please keep them home until they are fever free. Feel free to contact me if you have questions.

Sincerely,

Patrick E. McKernan

Superintendent of Schools/Elementary Principal
