TMS Volleyball Recap - Thurs., Oct. 14th
The Troy Lady Trojans finished their volleyball season Thursday night against Frankfort. The Trojans entered the night seeking redemption against the Wildcats who came away from the League tournament as Champions over the weekend. The Trojans had a slow start in the first match falling behind by 10 points, but were able to regroup during a timeout to rally together and take back the lead. Harper Whetstine, Alyson Grable, and Cadence Popple were strong at the net making key plays to overcome the deficit and take the first set 25-23. During the second match the Trojans again displayed a slow start but were able to maintain positive attitudes and utilize teamwork during crucial points to put them in front. Nicole Judd, Braelyn Popple, and Kennadee Christopher displayed solid defense returning hard hits from the Wildcats to lead their team to a second win 25-21. The perseverance and determination shown by the Lady Trojans during these matches illustrated how far this team has come this season and the 8th graders will be exciting to watch as they transition to the High School team next year. The Lady Trojans would like to thank the school, their parents, and the community for their support this season!
