TMS Volleyball Wins McLouth Volleyball Tourney

The Middle School Lady Trojans traveled to McLouth on Saturday and came home with some hardware. The Lady Trojans A team faced teams from Oskaloosa, JCN, McLouth, and Valley Falls.
The Lady Trojans came out strong in their first matches against Oskaloosa  and outscored their opponent 25-12 and 25-21. Kenadee Christopher and Cadence Popple sparked the offense to get the team the win in the second match.
The Trojans then faced their toughest opponent of the day, JCN. Harper Whetstine's serves eluded the Chargers to gain the Trojans a solid lead and she set Nicole Judd up for some solid back row hits that led the way to a win in 3 matches.
The Lady Trojans defeated McLouth in 2 matches, 25-8 and 25-11, with Adaleigh Popple's serving and return efforts playing a key factor in leading the Trojans to the Championship.
The final game of the day was against Valley Falls. Both teams went into the game undefeated and looking to bring home the title. Braelyn Popple started the Trojans off strong with her serving and Alyson Grable had some keys hits at the net that never let Valley Falls get close in either of the two matches. The Lady Trojans brought home the Championship plaque for the second year in a row and showed teamwork and perseverance that they look to bring with them this week as they face their upcoming opponent, the Centralia Panthers, at home.
