TMS Football - Sept. 2nd

The Troy Trojans Middle School Football team opened the season traveling to Seneca to play the Saints Peter and Paul Trojans.

Troy’s offense started quickly, scoring on their first possession. However, it sputtered at times, missing on key opportunities to put the ball in the end zone.

The defense had the jitters to begin with, but settled in nicely, holding SPPS to 12 points.

On offense, after struggling early, Sawyer Ashburn (WR) came through on two big catches, one for a two-point conversion. Tucker Jarrett (RB) ran tough in the middle.

On defense, Henry Geiger (LB) clogged the middle and Marcus McKittrick (DE) owned the outside. Both used good form tackling.

Troy defeated SPPS 28-12, starting with a 1-0 record.

Troy hosts the Onaga Buffaloes next week (9/9).
