End of Year in Troy Kindergarten

End of the Year in Troy Kindergarten

The Troy Kindergarten Class had a fun end of the year.  On May 11, students traveled to Topeka, Kansas to visit the Topeka Zoo and Gage Park.  Students learned about 6 different animals including a baby alligator.  Then, students explored the zoo and got to see the rest of the animals with a highlight being a bear sleeping in the top of a tree.  After the zoo, students went to Gage Park to eat a picnic lunch and play.

On May 18, the kindergarten class walked to John’s Market, the library, and the city park.  At John’s Market students did a scavenger hunt to find items that they would need to make tacos, spaghetti, pizza, and peanut butter and jelly.  Students also enjoyed a story time about weather at the library and were able to make their own kite.  Both trips were a fun way to end a great Kindergarten year!
