The Troy Grade School Student Council’s theme for the 2019-2020 school year is “Big Ideas, Big Actions”.  Each month student council members present a big idea to their group.  The student council, sponsored by Rebekah Hall, votes on that month's initiative.  For the month of December the big idea selected was presented by Lane Hall, Caden Rosenberger, Colton Luedke, and Mark McKittrick.  They students chose to support a local non-for profit organization, Kadens Kloset by hosting a Pennies for Pajamas drive.  Their goal was to raise $50 during the week of December 9 in hopes to buy five pairs of new pajamas for the local mission.  The Troy Grade School raised just over $700, and was able to purchase 52 sets of pajamas ranging from sizes 4T to adult XXL, 14 blankets, and 5 pillows.  Katie Kostman, a volunteer with Kadens Kloset, met with the student council to receive the donations.
