Queen of Courts, Friday, January 25th

TROY HIGH SCHOOL QUEEN OF COURTS FRIDAY, JAN. 25

The Troy High School Queen of Courts Ceremony has been scheduled for Friday, Jan. 25, with the crowning at half time of the boys’ game.  The opponent that night is Washington County. There will be a pep rally in the new gym that day at 2:45 p.m.

The queen candidates are Karen Araseki, Brynna Pierce, Alyssa Schmille, and Lizzie Schultz, and the king candidates are Gus Collins, Reid Jasper, Jacob Mott, and Brayden Wiedmer.

Araseki is a foreign exchange student from Japan and is currently living with Aaron and Annika Franken. She has been involved in basketball. She plans to go to university in Tokyo and become an English teacher for Japanese high school students.

Pierce is the daughter of Shane and Di Pierce. She has been involved in volleyball, cheer, and dance. She plans to go to Kansas State University. Her major is undecided.

Schmille is the daughter of Trevor and Amy Schmille.  She has been involved in cross country, volleyball, basketball, track, softball, National Honors Society, FFA, and T-Club. She plans to attend Highland Community College for a year, and then to transfer to Kansas State University to major in Pre-Veterinary Medicine.

Schultz is the daughter of Keith and Betsy Hinds.  She has been involved in volleyball, basketball, softball, cheer, dance, Peer Mentors, T-Club, and Drama. She plans to attend Kansas University and major in Pre-Med. She wants to be an OB/GYN.

Collins is the son of Mike and Kayla Collins.  He has been involved in football, basketball, baseball, FFA, and T-Club. He plans to go into wildlife and outdoor enterprise management.

Jasper is the son of Kelly Jasper and Steve and Michelle Bowe.  He has been involved in football, basketball, FFA, National Honors Society, and T-Club. He plans to attend Highland Community College, and then a four-year university to major in Business or Exercise Science.

Mott is the son of James and Melissa Mott.. He has been involved in basketball, football, T-Club, and FFA.  He plans on finishing Electrical Technology at Highland Technical Center after graduation.

Wiedmer is the son of Bryson and Shannon Wiedmer and Erica and Tyler Thomas. He has played baseball and football and participated in FFA. He plans to join a tech school after high school and work towards a heating and cooling certificate.

Spirit Week Activities:

Monday 21st– Macaw Monday (dress in your brightest of bright clothes). 6PM Musical Chairs in the old gym. Bring your own chair or just show up for the game of the week! You don’t want to miss your seat at this….no seat is safe!

 

Tuesday 22nd – A Day in The Wild (dress in animal prints). Away basketball game. Check into the office about spirit bus sign up.

 

Wednesday 23rd – “I Wanna Be Like You” (dress “alike” someone or somebodies). 6PM Dodgeball Tournament in the new gym. Come ready to dodge, dip and weave or hit your targets. If you aren’t participation, we need some fans in the stands!

 

Thursday 24th– Tribal Thursday (Sr. blue, Jr. black, So. white and Fr. gray). 6PM Swoosh Rally in the new gym. Show off your shot from the free throw line or the 3-point arch. Either one, who’s got the best shot?! Not participating, you are still always welcomed!

 

Friday 25th – Safari Guide/Tourist (dress like you would on a safari ride). 2:45 Pep Assembly. 4:45PM JV basketball games begin again the Washington Co. Tigers. Show up for the game/student section still in your Safari Guide attire. 7:45ish crowning of your 2019 Queen of Courts Queen and King. Dance to follow the finish of the boys’ Varsity game.
