Amanda Stock and Morgan Masters Qualify for State Track
Troy High School track athletes traveled to Mankato, KS this past Thursday for competition in 1A regional track meet. They came to compete, and a couple left continuing on their season at state this coming weekend. Amanda Stock began her day with high jump, just coming off of setting the school record to 5’4” at TVL meet 05/10/2018. Amanda only jumped 5’ but that was enough to finish in 3rd place and qualifying her for state. In other field events, Morgan Masters competed in long jump. She too was coming off of setting the school record to 17’7.5”. She jumped and qualified for finals. In finals, she jumped a great distance of 17’9.75” to place 1st overall, qualify for state, and again break the school record. Amanda jumped also in triple jump, her day’s best jump was 33’4” 3rd overall and qualifying for state in her second event. Also competing in the day were Chance Jones in LJ and 400m dash; Owen Root in shot, discus and javelin; Brylee Wiedmer in 300m hurdles; Cassidy Rosenberger in LJ and 300m hurdles; Holly Williams in javelin; Masters in 100m dash; Stock in 100m hurdles, and 4X100 relay of Rosenberger, Stock, Williams and Stock.
