Are you a team player?  Being able to work as a team is an important character trait.  This was the focus for November at Troy Grade School.  Our career study was Business, Finance, and Marketing, and our Trojanopoly Game Piece was the Dog.  Each student received another $50 for Pay Day, and then of course had to give $20 back for rent and utilities.  Most of the students had enough money at the end of the quarter to purchase a slushy and enjoy a free recess.  They are all working towards our 2nd nine weeks prize, and our Trojanopoly Store that is opening in January.

The Student Council presented prizes at our monthly assembly to the Employees of the Month- they each received a bag of M & M’s and will have their picture displayed on our Employees of the Month Bulletin Board during December.  Next, they presented the Community Chest Winners with a coupon that the students then used to get a prize from our Community Chest.   Some students’ names were called to “Take a Chance”.  They picked a chance card.  This month they were all great prizes.  The first one had a “Lucky Day” and received $10 on a tax refund, the second one got to take a ride on the Reading Railroad and choose a free book from the Library, and the third student earned 10 minutes of “Free Time” from her teacher.   Next, the Free Parking Winners were announced.  They each won $20.  Finally, the Best- Behaved Class in the Lunchroom was announced.  The Kindergarten students each earned a special treat.  Congratulations to all of our winners!
