Troy Grade School held its Academic Pep Rally on Monday, March 26 to get fired up for our State Assessments. The event started with the Kindergarten, first, and second graders making a tunnel for the 3rd - 6th graders to run through. Coach Jasper called each student and teacher by name as they ran through giving high fives and jamming to some great music. Next, we held a dance off for 3rd - 6th graders. Each group danced twice to some awesome music provided by Mr. Allison. The fifth graders won. I am not sure they were the "best dancers" , but they were certainly the loudest. The student council shared some great tips for taking tests. The last act was Mr. Allison, Mr. Keller, and Austin O'Connor rocking out to their parody of "Jack and Diane." The pep rally ended with the students enjoying one final dance. Some of our students sure have rhythm. We had lots of fun, and now this should help our students succeed on the state assessments. Good luck, TGS!
