HS Girls Place in Hiawatha Tourney

The Troy High School girls’ basketball team placed 3rd last week at the Hiawatha Invitational Tournament. The Trojans got past Hiawatha in the opener, 53-41, before losing a tough game against Marysville, 29-35, in the semifinals. Troy came from behind to beat Falls City, 43-41, in the 3rd place game on Saturday. The Lady Trojans trailed at halftime of each tournament game. Bailey Morgan and Hana Speaks were selected to the all tournament team. The 2 wins in the tournament improved Troy’s overall record to 10-4.
