Textcaster Updates

The school district would like to update you about few things with the Textcaster system. On Thursday, April 10th, the school district text messaged that the TGS Music Programs were postponed due to power failure. This message went out at 5:02 p.m. per the textcaster site. The school is aware that some subscribers received the text message at 5:02 p.m. and some subscribers did not receive the text message until 6:11 p.m. The Textcaster system has been experiencing some delays in sending text messages and is trying to correct the problem. The school apologizes for any inconvenience this problem might have caused our parents and patrons.
Also I know the school has been sending out several postponed events per day. The Textcaster system only allows so many characters per text message. We would like to only make one text message announcement but the Textcaster system does not allow us to do that at this time because of the limited character space.
